iPhone 4
I wonder how much revenue Apple loses by not having enough iPhone 4 inventory to supply demand.
I find hard to believe that this is a marketing strategy and some sort of “free advertisement” to Apple as I am sure that Apple would love to capture that revenue on their books as fast as possible and the carriers who are selling cell services would also be delighted to have users locked on their phone services as soon as possible.
Off-site backup
I’ve opened an account with Carbonite.com to handle off-site backup. Unfortunately at 1 Mbps upload speed it will take one year before my initial backup is complete.
I have close to 500 Gb of pictures and close to that in video files.
It may be a better solution to buy a big disk and store the off-site backup at work.
I know that it would not protect me against nuclear explosions and earth quakes but at least it would decrease the probability of seeing all my stuff burning if there’s a fire at my place.

Software update frozen on my Mac
I was just going to update Itunes but Software Update decided to freeze.
There’s no such a thing as problems on Macs, right?

Virtualbox Windows 7 installation problems
I was going to show my sister how Windows 7 looks like but to my disappointment Virtualbox is freezing as soon as I run it.
Don’t think I can blame Windows 7 for that in any shape or form.
Did anybody experience this?
Running Windows 7 on a Sun VirtualBOX Machine on your Mac
![]()
Nobody is going to say that I don’t have an open mind.
I installed Windows 7 on my machine today.
Don’t worry, I did not wipe out MAC OSX.
What I did was to install SUN’s VIRTUALBOX first and to create a virtual machine where I installed a demo copy of Windows 7 that will expire in 30 days.
Windows 7 does look nicer than previous Windows versions and Microsoft did implement a DOCK similar to the one that we have in MAC OS X and their Expose equivalent works quite nicely.
I downloaded the Microsoft Live stuff that allows you to play with pictures and video but that is no shape or form even close to what we get from iLife.
Diagnostic: Good improvement from previous Windows versions but it’s NOT MAC OSX.
