I have been using Aperture for 3 years now and absolutely love the application even though I agree that an update to simplify a few things and add some extra functionality is now overdue.
I have close to fifty thousand images managed via Aperture and you can check some of those images at my photo site.
If you are into photography and if you shoot RAW images all the time I do recommend that you give Aperture a try.
Not sure if you know but you can download the trial version and play with it for 30 days before you decide if you want to buy it or not.
If you have no idea of what a RAW image is them iPhoto will take good care of you.
There are tons of great Aperture tutorials on Apple’s web site.
I will about my experiences as this blog evolves.
